Note: Credits are on the semester hour system.
Prerequisite: Undergraduate applicants are required to have a high school diploma or have completed the General Educational Development (GED) test.
General Education Credits: The specific general education requirements and the available options to satisfy general education credits are explained in the General Education section of the catalog.
Non-Core Credits: Undergraduates have the following options to satisfy non-core credits.
• Undergraduate Portfolio (maximum of 48 credits), Bible Knowledge Assessments (maximum of 48 credits), and additional Trinity courses.
• Transfer credits (grades of “C” or higher) from an approved school must meet one of two criteria: (1) comparable to a course taught at Trinity, or (2) connectivity to Trinity’s program as demonstrated by fulfillment of one of Trinity’s Core Competencies.
Core Credits: The specific core courses required for each program are listed on the respective program pages. Any request for a course substitution will be evaluated to determine if the proposed substitute course meets program requirements. A minimum of 33 core credits must be earned at Trinity for any degree or diploma awarded. The one exception to this policy is as follows: The diploma and associate of arts degree programs in this catalog are linked in such a way that the same 33 core credits earned at Trinity for a diploma program may be applied to the core credits for the corresponding associate of arts degree, leaving the student to complete the general education requirements. The number of core credits required is 33 for a diploma program, 33 for an associate of arts degree, and 39 for a bachelor of arts degree. Bachelor's level students have the following options to satisfy core credits above the 33 credit hour minimum to be earned at Trinity.
• Transfer (grades of “C” or higher) for core credits must be from an approved school and must satisfy the requirements of the core program.
• Trinity course work.
